Improv for OD Professionals
Thursday, May 11th 2017
Using improv to develop the people skills of consultants and clients.
A common misconception is that improv is about being funny. Attend enough improv performances and you realize this is most certainly NOT true. Improv is not about being funny; improv is about being present in the moment with the other actors. “Being present” is the gift that improv offers OD Professionals. In this program, participants will practice active listening, authenticity, and consensus building through a series of improv exercises. Although this will be a highly interactive session, introverts and extroverts alike will get to learn in a safe environment how to use improv to develop their people skills and those of their clients.
Presenter: Greg Werstler is the Director of Creative Sales for CSz Business Chicago, the producer of ComedySportz, Chicago’s longest running all-ages improv show. Greg has been working in theater administration and event production for more than 20 years. In addition to being an emcee and facilitator, Greg is currently enrolled in the MSMOB program at Benedictine University.
Facilitator: George W. Hay, PhD
