
Deborah Dalzell Murphy, PhD
President
Deborah has spent the last 30 years developing skills, careers, leaders and organizations. She has a Masters’ Degree in Education leadership in which she focused on Adult Development and Mentoring and holds a PhD in Organizational Leadership. Deborah leads processes which attract, engage, develop people’s talents, most recently as the head of HR for a manufacturing firm. She has used OD related tools in large scale organizational changes like divestitures, acquisitions, and changes in leadership, strategy and systems, as well as smaller scale department or dyadic applications. Deborah was on the leadership team in a company that successfully challenged for the Deming Prize for TQM practices, as the process leader for HRD. Her association with ODNC started 20 years ago when she had the privilege of working on the Mentoring program for members. Coming full circle, Deborah has had the opportunity to return to ODNC and partake in the newest iteration of member mentoring, Peer Mentoring. She has been enriched by her association with ODNC and looks forward to sharing in creating the future with members. She is currently one of three Co-Presidents, sharing the leadership with the Board to continually meet member needs.

Cedric Brisseau
Treasurer
Cedric is a change consultant with a background in systems training and talent development in the following industries: industrial transportation; aerospace; food, beverage, and consumer goods; manufacturing; technology and communications; and financial services. His experience includes defining global change and training strategy and processes; conducting role excellence profiles; managing ERP implementation training projects; executing stakeholder and change assessments; managing the development and delivery of end user training solution; and consulting project stakeholders and development teams. When he is not supporting change management initiatives for a large system implementation, he is spending time with his wife and daughter, and cooking up a storm in his kitchen. He is currently working on obtaining his master’s degree in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University. Cedric has served the ODNC board since July 2018 in the Treasurer role.

Claire Frisella, MA
Secretary
Claire is currently an Organization Development Partner with Cars.com where she focuses on designing and leading leadership development programs. Claire also plans and delivers organization-wide talent management and OD initiatives through partnership with her internal clients. Previously Claire worked with Baxter Healthcare on the Talent Development team where she worked on a broad range of global talent development initiatives. Topics in OD that interest Claire include organization design, evaluation and assessment, leadership development, coaching and team development. In the past, Claire has been in involved in the St. Louis Organization Development Network as a graduate student intern where she designed and facilitated interventions for transitioning executive team members and setting the network’s annual strategy.
Claire earned her master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Development from Maryville University and her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from Butler University.

Michael Ball

Michael is an Executive Search Associate at Ferguson Partners. A professional consultant with a deep understanding of business psychology, Michael merges his analytical abilities with his penchant for research to vet candidates and secure hires. Based in Chicago, Michael specializes in global senior leadership mandates for Human Resources and Innovation & Technology Practices.
Michael’s knowledge of residential and commercial real estate stems from the experience he gained in both sectors prior to joining Ferguson Partners. He previously worked as an Apartment Locator and Real Estate Broker in Colorado, founding Denver Leasing Company. After relocating to Chicago, Michael managed accounts for clients in the construction and commercial real estate sectors as an Executive Recruiter for The Adecco Group.
Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree in Interdepartmental Business Studies from the University of Iowa, his Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and is Hogan Assessment Certified. When he’s not studying, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancé and dog Opal, playing soccer, and sailing on Lake Michigan.

Christine Herrman, PHR SHRM-CP

Christine is an OD consultant with over a decade of experience, internal and external. Her work has reached a broad range of industries in both corporate and non-profit environments including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, contact centers, wealth management, and business services. Her expertise spans the OD realm, curating enterprise-wide programs that improve organizational health through culture, leadership, talent development, and talent management. She is a certified HR professional with a Masters in Organizational Learning & HR Development and is a WorkPlace Big Five Profile™ Certified Consultant. Christine describes herself as a talent strategist determined to make work a better place so our world can be a better place. She currently works in learning and development at Health Care Service Corporation (Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, MT, NM, OK, TX).

Mariam Huss, MBA, PMP, Prosci

Mariam Huss is the Founder and Managing Director of Axxum Consulting, a Chicago-based Management Consulting firm providing Human Capital services to clients in Change Management, Internal Communications, Training, Organization Design, Program Management and Process Improvement initiatives. Mariam has 20 years of experience in professional services, her personal & professional experiences have taken her in more than 20 countries. Prior to building her own consulting practice, Mariam worked for EY, KPMG, IBM, and The Hackett Group.
Mariam is actively involved with several organizations in Chicago, including the FACC (French American Chamber of Commerce, as a Board Member and Women 4 Women Committee Chair), WGEP (Women’s Global Education Projects, as a Board Member) and she is a member of ACMP (Association of Change Management Professionals), PMI (Project Management Institute) and ODNC (Organization Development Network of Chicago).
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from IPAG Paris (France) and an M.B.A. from University Laval (Canada).

David G. Kloak, PhD

David holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University/California School of Professional Psychology, as well as a number of master’s degrees in Organizational Psychology and Organizational Development. David is a member of the American Psychological Associations (APA) divisions: The Societies of Consulting Psychology (SCP), the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP), Organizational Development Network Chicago (ODN/C), Society of Psychologists in Management (SPIM) and Chicago Industrial Organizational Psychologists (CIOP). He served 29 years in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a decorated Captain. He is an Adjunct Faculty in the Business Psychology Program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Additionally, he is a leadership psychologist and assessment/development coach at the University of Chicago, and Chicagoland region Mid-Cap firms. He volunteers as a career development/transition coach at the Career Transitions Center of Chicago (CTCC) he helps mid-career professionals make confident employment transitions in the dynamic regional job market.

Maria Odiamar Racho, MSOD

Maria Odiamar Racho is Senior Manager of the Organizational Effectiveness Practice at Allstate Corporation, with over a decade of experience as an internal consultant and over fifteen years as a business leader in sales and technology. She specializes in culture, complex systems/networks, leader effectiveness, and change. Maria also co-founded two Employee Resource Groups, the Allstate Asian American Network (3AN), and Intrapreneurs@Allstate (i@a).
Her passion carries into her community work as a past non-profit board member of OCA-Chicago, a pan-Asian civic organization; through her speaking engagements and thesis research on Asian American Leadership; and through pro-bono consulting she has provided to local non-profits (United Way of Lake County, Big Brothers Big Sisters) and task forces (COVID-19 APA Small Business Financial Relief Effort, COVID-19 Testing to Underserved Communities).
Maria finished her Executive Master of Science in Organizational Development (MSOD) at Pepperdine University. She’s married to her childhood sweetheart with two kids and an extended family the size of a small village.

Griselda Silva, PHR

Griselda Silva has worked in the field of Human Resources for over 20 years in a variety of sectors including private, government, higher education and non-profit. Griselda’s expertise includes talent management, performance management, employee and labor relations, organizational development, and leadership and management coaching. Griselda’s most recent position is at CBRE, supporting the Northwestern Medicine account, as a People Business Partner. Griselda is passionate about helping businesses make the most of their talent, creating an engaging and positive employee experience, and helping people with the career aspirations.
Griselda holds a Master’s degree in Human Performance Improvement (HPI) from Roosevelt University and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). In her free time, she likes to spend time with her 2 children and workout.

John is the HR Manager at C.E. Niehoff & Co, which manufactures heavy duty alternators. He has master’s degrees both in Transformational Leadership & Coaching as well as Project Management. John is passionate about equipping and empowering others to achieve their desired results, expand their potential, and flourish professionally and personally.
John has significant experience with dynamic, experiential, applied skill development and learning environments to create accelerated and robust professional and personal transformation. He has several years of experience in leadership development with social and emotional intelligence. John is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) pending his completion of coaching hours.

Scott Tang

As an organizational consultant and thinking partner, Scott is focused on helping individuals, teams and organizations with evidence-based best practices and catalytic ideas to spark growth and positive change. Most recently, Scott was Sr. Director at a large digital business transformation partner/consultancy overseeing a global research department. Scott brings over twenty years of hands-on corporate experience spanning across a wide variety of industries and disciplines and has worked in four different continents. He is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, a Michigan Ross Distinguished Leader and a graduate of the Advanced Human Resource Executive Program (AHREP). Certified in SAFe Agile methodology, Appreciative Inquiry and a patent holder, Scott also has served for five years as a volunteer coach for One Million Degrees. He holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Organizational Behavior and Marketing and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
